PE Weekly- Rupal by temiel PE Weekly- Rupal by temiel
My first picture for #PrivateExchange: Rupal for the awesome ~ninanai. She was so much fun to do, dancers have the best poses.

Great work on the pose--and I really like the figure you gave her too. She looks very strong, but also pretty--it's a well done balance of female form and a more masculine strength. Loving the folds on her waist sash too. :D You're always so good with folds.

Thank you! :D I'm glad you like her. ~ninanai's female characters always seem to have a great balance of sensual femininity and a kind of tough strength, so I'm glad it came across.

I do like the pose, it's strong yet flowy. I think the skintone and the light pinky-purple on mosy of her outfit could do with being differentiated a little bit - on my monitor at least they look quite similar. That's an easy thing to change however and doesn't detract rom the drawing.

Oh, unless you're talking about the pants, which I definitely didn't color differently from the skin (there's a really light gradient on that). I only wanted to break the composition up with the bands of purple and that one of pink. Either way, it still looks like how I wanted. :3

The trousers look pretty much the same shade as the skin on my monitor and the purpley area just a bit darker. It's probably the monitor having fun and games with me, or I need new contacts^^

No, yeah, that's on purpose. ;) I didn't want the values to be really different, so I just put a really light color gradient over the whole thing.

Thank you! It's weird that they're showing up similar on your monitor, on mine there's a really distinct difference and mine is pretty well-calibrated. On here it looks exactly how I intended it.

Her pose looks great and natural, especially how her torso bends inward...ugh how many times have I tried that and failed?

btw, sorry I haven't been commenting lately but I still look at all your art!

You know I think this is lovely anyway, but I will happily say it again! Your hands always look gorgeous, and I'm really liking the muscle definition on her arms, especially. And for some reason her shoes. I really, really want those shoes

Nnnnnf, those shoes were taken from a great sketch by ~ninanai (it's not in her gallery though). I just HAD to use them... pointy toe? Pretty middle-eastern pattern? Loooove.

Btw, it occurs to me that apparently whenever I do arms in that down-pose like that, they seem very "defined". XD

Aff, thank you. :D I was a little worried about the lifted arm, it seemed like it might be wrong somehow, but I could just be making that up. O_o The one holding the knife, though, that I was proud of! ;) Very glad you like it!

OH YAY, I'm so glad you like it! :huggle: Since it's my first time doing one of these, I was hoping I'd be up to par. :3 I'm sorry about the knife, but when I tried to draw the big curved ones she usually has it just didn't work with the composition. -__-
