The troubled air that rages

Trean and Zarael-- the end of the story.

After finding out that during their whole relationship, Zarael had been secretly masterminding a plan to exterminate earth's human population and was hellbent on seeing it to its end, she had no choice but to stop him by any means necessary... and even though he loved her back, he was forced to do the same.

At this time, unbeknownst to her, she's carrying his child.

I've had this picture in my head for YEARS; I was just never confident enough to try it. It's not perfect, I know; it has some problems; but I'm pleased nonetheless.

The music that goes with this is Loreena McKennitt's "Lullaby": [link] Something about it--the thunder, the poem, the drama--even though it's not loud or "epic", it's made me think of the aftermath of Trean and Zarael's final confrontation with each other for a very long time; her regret, the potential consequences had she chosen love over saving humanity.
