Style Exercise Meme- Farael

So I've been meaning to do this (or one of the other style memes floating around) for quite a while, and then =NadezhdaVasile tagged me so I no longer had any excuse to put it off. I needed a break from commissions SO badly, and the piece I'm doing to "take a break" is actually super labor-intensive, so I needed a break from my... break. But this was SO much fun, definitely one of the more fun memes I've done. Seeing Farael in a bunch of different styles makes me happy like a nut. No time for color! MUST POST!

1. Tem, normal. Not recycled, new drawing just for this, but not a particularly good one.

2. KINUKO CRAFT. [link] My absolute favorite artist ever. Never mind that her style makes Farael look ultra-weird.

3. Okay, he translated way too well into Ultra-Shoujo. Practically all I needed to do was make the eyes bigger and add some more flouncy hair. Oh Farael, you tremendous bishounen, you.

4. This was a LOT of fun. The Pokemon one was the first one I did, and in doing that one I learned that I can reference from an amalgam of characters, so he's based a little on Thomas and John Smith from Pocahontas, a little on Prince Eric from Little Mermaid, and a little on Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty. I have to admit I'm very pleased with this one. :3

5. This, right here, is the reason he's my favorite. Because he's way too attractive when I picture him in "real life" (read: in my mind). This particular drawing is SLIGHTLY (not entirely, I was focusing more on making him look like he does in my head) based on this guy, who's cast as Farael in the Astral Arcana movie I'm making in my silly brain. Change the armor to 18th-century military clothes and then tell me this couldn't be Farael.

6. This was the first one I did, and it was SO MUCH FUN. MAN, he's cute in Pokemon style. Based a little on Gary, a little on Ash and a little on James.

7. There were SO many artists I wanted to do this with. Seriously. So many. But I wanted to try it with someone whose style I've never seen my characters in: , whose art I've admired for a long time. It was a little hard to peg since she gives her characters a bit of a "realistic" look, but it's "realistic" in the way that I do "realistic": it definitely has a style, albeit a subtle one.

8. Tagging , and . I guess. But you don't have to do it, I suppose. I just want to see it. Most of the people I wanted to tag have either already done it or already been tagged, but you guys haven't!
