11/17/09 Update: I know, I know, this is an older one; I was preparing this and a bunch of others for print and sale, and I decided this one really needed a non-white background. So, texture it is. Hope you're pleased with the new version.
I was impossibly bored at work, so I walked over to the mall, bought a $4 set of watercolor paints, and had at the sketchbook. This is the result: Rian's first-mate-of-the-Troll-Havn outfit, done in actual physical watercolor. Note the bladelock pistol. When you need to use it as a gun, the blade folds up like Sulu's sword in the new Star Trek movie. Pretty sweet.
As I've said, watercolor, pencil and ink on (buckled, buckled) paper.
Indeed, I do a TON of pictures of her. Since you've got me on watch now, I'm sure you can expect to see a lot more. Maybe next time I'll fill in some background info
Awesome pose and costume design. I love the pen line shading too!

"As if you could outrun me! As if you could fight me off! Don't be afraid," he murmured, his velvet voice unintentionally seductive. -Edward Cullen, Twilight, page 264.
And just for the record, real vampires DO sparkle!

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
