Faithless Flora

As per a request from *Skioppy, who saw a really crappy, messy sketch of this and asked my why I'd never posted it. WELL, it was really just because when I drew it I didn't think anyone would care because it was just a sketch, and it really hadn't even occurred to me to post. SO, here we are! all finished and colored.

This really isn't any particular person, just a Xelosian I drew for general reference of how their clothing looks. Xelosians are essentially a type of elf, except that they've grown into a symbiotic relationship with the plant life on their homeworld, Xelosia. As such, traditional Xelosian couture is similar in shape to Imperial-style clothing, but made largely or sometimes entirely of integrated plant matter. For the record, Harper, the Xelosian crew member on Rian's ship, doesn't normally wear this kind of thing.

Title is borrowed from the lyrics of a folk song called "The Lily of the West". I was listening to a different version of it while I worked on this, but this is a really good one too: [link]
