"Haply I think on thee, and then my state, Like to the lark at break of day arising From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate; For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings That then I scorn to change my state with kings." ~Shakespeare, from Sonnet 029
Update: Sorry for the spam! I made a couple changes, namely colored the line work, because I was in such a hurry to upload this last night that I totally forgot to do it! -_- Also, I discovered a little patch of wing that wasn't shaded! So I fixed that too.
This one's been in the works for a few days, but I decided to spend a little more time than usual on it. I did this totally for me, to play with a new coloring technique, and do a really unambiguous liplock, and some big, fluffy, gorgeous, anatomically convincing wings, and Farael's hot-as-hell officer coat. I hope you guys like it too, because I'm really proud of the result.
Full view is appreciated, because I really like the detail.
Characters are, of course, Rian and Farael again. Daww. PS.
1/20/10 Update: WOW! My first-ever Daily Deviation!! Thanks so much to *sionra for suggesting it, and `Thiefoworld for selecting it among what must have been a TON of other deserving work. THANK YOU ALL.
And you defiantly should be proud of this! What a beautiful piece of artwork! The colors are so rich and vibrant, and they go so perfectly with the background too. And my goodness, look at those wings! There is so much detail and they are so lovely! I could almost reach out and touch them. ^-^ And there are so many minor details in here that really bring the piece together. The way her dress is flowing, or the blush on her face. The lace and ruffles in the outfits. And the hands! Hands are so hard to draw, but you did so well! I love how graceful your art is! Way to go, this really is a wonderful picture.
